Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 September 2026
These terms govern the use of the Koava mobile app — by players, coaches and clubs. This page is a convenience summary; the full, binding version is the Hebrew-language Takanon (תקנון), available on request at contact@koava.app. In case of any conflict, the Hebrew version prevails.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
The app is operated by Benjamin Bismuth, registered with the Israeli Tax Authority as an Authorized Dealer (Osek Mursheh) No. 341101343, based in Israel (“Koava”). Using the app means you accept these terms. You must be at least 16 years old. Users aged 16 or 17 may create an account and make bookings only with the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf and remains responsible for their use and payments. Coaches must be at least 18.
2. What Koava is — and is not
Koava is a technology intermediary that connects players with sports coaches and clubs. Coaches are independent professionals — not employees or agents of Koava. Koava is not a party to the coaching relationship and does not guarantee the qualifications, conduct or services of any coach. Each user is responsible for verifying a coach’s credentials and suitability before booking.
3. Your account
Registration details must be accurate, current and complete. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account; report any unauthorized access to contact@koava.app immediately. Koava may refuse, suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, engages in fraud or abuse, or endangers other users or the platform.
4. Prohibited conduct
• Breaking any applicable law, or posting false, misleading or defamatory content. • Harassing, threatening or harming other users, coaches or Koava staff. • Collecting other users’ personal data without their consent. • Bypassing Koava’s payment system: a session arranged through the app must be paid through the app. • Attacking the platform, reverse-engineering it, or accessing it with bots or scrapers. Violations can lead to immediate account termination and legal liability.
5. Bookings and payments
A booking request is a binding offer; it becomes a binding transaction only once the coach confirms it. When you submit a request, the amount is reserved on your card (authorization hold) or deducted from your pack or credit balance. The actual card charge is made after the end of the session — or at the latest 6 days after the booking when the session takes place later (card holds cannot be kept longer). Session prices are set by the coaches. Displayed prices include the applicable Koava service fee, shown before payment; fee changes take effect only after 15 days’ notice. Payments are processed by PayMe (see the Privacy Policy); your card details are never stored by Koava.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Each coach chooses a cancellation policy from those offered by the platform — for example: flexible (full refund up to 24 h before the session), moderate (48 h), strict (7 days) or non-refundable. The applicable policy is shown before you book and is part of the deal. Cancel before the displayed threshold and you are refunded per that policy, with pack hours and credits returned; past the threshold, the full price is due. As long as the coach has not confirmed your request, you can withdraw it at any time free of charge. If a coach cancels a confirmed session, you bear no cost — including service fees. Refunds go back to your card when technically possible (as a rule, when the cancellation occurs no later than 6 days after the booking) within 5–10 business days; otherwise you receive a full credit, in the original currency, valid 2 years and usable for your next bookings. Your credit balance is visible in the app. None of this reduces your mandatory rights under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981.
7. Packs and credits
A pack gives you hours to use with the coach (or club) it was bought from; it is personal and cannot be transferred or converted to cash. Hours are deducted when you submit a booking request — and automatically returned if the request is declined, expires, or is cancelled under the applicable policy. Each pack’s validity is shown before purchase. Credits are usable in-app only, are not cash, and their balance and expiry are visible in the app.
8. Content and reviews
By posting content in the app (reviews, messages, profile info, photos) you allow Koava to use it to operate and promote the platform. Post only content you have the rights to. Reviews must reflect a genuine first-hand experience. Koava may moderate or remove content that violates these terms or the law.
9. Intellectual property
The app, its code, design, trademarks and databases belong to Koava or its licensors. You receive a limited, personal, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose — nothing more.
10. Health, sports risks and disclaimers
By booking or joining any activity, you declare that your health and physical condition allow you to take part, that you know of no medical condition preventing it, and that you hold any health declaration or medical certificate required by law. Consult a physician before starting to train — especially with a chronic or heart condition, an injury, a pregnancy or after a long period of inactivity — and tell the coach about any condition, medication or allergy that could affect the session. Koava is not a medical provider and verifies no one’s medical fitness. Physical sports activities carry inherent risks of injury. You take part at your own sole risk, and we recommend personal accident insurance. Responsibility for running the session safely — adapting it, supervising it, first aid — lies solely with the coach or club (or, for partner meetups, with the participants). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Koava is not liable for any injury, illness, aggravation of a medical condition, disability or death occurring during or as a result of an activity arranged through the app. If you feel unwell, stop immediately; in an emergency call the local emergency services. The platform itself is provided “as is”, without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
11. Reliability score
To keep the platform trustworthy, Koava computes a reliability score for players, partners, coaches and clubs, based only on recorded events: cancellations (late ones weigh more), no-shows, unanswered requests — and duly completed sessions, which improve it. The score may be shown publicly on profiles and can affect search ranking, visibility and access to certain features. If you believe your score was affected unfairly, contact support to request a review and restoration of points. The score is an automated indicator of platform activity — not a judgment of anyone’s character.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Koava is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Koava’s total liability for all claims is capped at the greater of the service fees you paid Koava in the previous 12 months, or ₪1,000. Your mandatory consumer rights are not affected.
13. Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel; disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district, after a 30-day good-faith negotiation period. Material changes to these terms are announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before taking effect.
