Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data the Koava mobile app collects, why we collect it, and how it is protected. It applies to everyone who uses the app — players, coaches and clubs.
1. Who we are
Koava is a mobile app for finding and booking sports coaches, currently operating in Israel. It is operated by Benjamin Bismuth, registered with the Israeli Tax Authority as an Authorized Dealer (Osek Mursheh) No. 341101343, based in Israel (“Koava”, “we”). Koava owns and operates the database of personal data processed through the app, in accordance with the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and its regulations. For any question about this policy or your data, write to contact@koava.app.
2. Data we collect
• Account details: name, email address, phone number and profile photo. • Sign-in with Google or Apple (OAuth): we receive your name and email address from the provider. We never see or store your Google or Apple password. • Location: approximate location and, only with your permission, precise location — used solely to show coaches, venues and activities near you. You can turn it off at any time in your device settings. • Messages you send in the app’s built-in chat. • Booking and purchase history: sessions, group courses, packs, credits and refunds. • Device identifiers and push notification tokens, used to send you notifications. • Crash logs and diagnostics: app version, device model, operating system and error reports.
3. Why we use your data
• To run the app: coach search, bookings, payments, chat and push notifications. • To manage your account and provide customer support. • To analyze crashes, fix bugs, keep the platform secure and prevent fraud. • To comply with Israeli tax, accounting and other legal obligations. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. The app contains no third-party advertising and we never share your data with advertisers.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by PayMe, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider. Your card details are entered directly on PayMe’s secure payment page and are never stored on Koava’s servers. We keep only transaction records: amount, date, status and receipts.
5. Third-party services
We rely on the following providers, each processing only the data needed to deliver its service: • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, file storage, push notifications and analytics. • Sentry — crash reporting and diagnostics. • PayMe — payment processing (see section 4). • Brevo — transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts). • EZcount / SUMIT — invoicing: issuing receipts and invoices (name, e-mail and transaction amounts). • Google Maps — map display and geolocation of coaches and venues. • Anthropic — AI processing of support-chat conversations (see section 6). Some coach information is also shared with other users as part of the service: when you book a session, the coach (and, where relevant, the club managing that coach) receives the details needed to organise it. Data may be stored on servers located outside Israel; such transfers are made in accordance with the Israeli regulations on the transfer of data abroad.
6. AI support assistant
First-line support in the app may be handled by an automated assistant powered by artificial intelligence. Your support-chat conversations are transmitted to Koava’s AI provider (currently Anthropic, USA) solely to generate responses and improve support quality, under confidentiality and data-security obligations. Please do not share sensitive information in the support chat — in particular medical details or full payment card numbers. The assistant’s answers are informational only and do not bind Koava; you can request a human at any time by writing to contact@koava.app.
7. Retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or by emailing contact@koava.app. Some records must be kept longer by law — for example invoices and receipts are retained for 7 years under Israeli tax and accounting law. Our account-deletion page lists exactly what is deleted and what is retained, and for how long.
8. Your rights
Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, you have the right to review the data we hold about you, to request the correction or deletion of inaccurate or outdated data, to receive a copy of your data, to object to direct mailing, and to withdraw any consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to contact@koava.app — we may ask for proof of identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority (PPA).
9. Minors
Koava is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Users aged 16 or 17 may use the app only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that data was collected from a child under 16, or from a minor aged 16–17 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will change, and material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Contact: Koava — operated by Benjamin Bismuth, Authorized Dealer (Osek Mursheh) No. 341101343, Israel Email: contact@koava.app
